The new documentary called “ Together” revealed  that it is related to the amazing season of Manchester City when they won three big prizes. But there was a problem – the Premier League accused them of breaking the rules 115 times about how they handle money. The boss of Man City team Pep Guardiola used this corruption problem to make his team feel like they are in great trouble. In order to overcome this problem they would fight harder.

The documentary also included discussion in the locker room when the players heard about 115 charges from the Premier League. The coach of the team was trying to motivate his team to play better and work hard. It is especially after the team had a tough time at the starting period of 2023.

Even though they had some difficulties in January and February, they managed to do really well and win three important trophies. There’s a part in the movie where Guardiola did something important before a game against Aston Villa. It was their first game after the charges were announced, and Guardiola changed something in their routine to use the charges as a way to motivate them.

Statement of Pep Guardiola in dressing room

The documentary did not show any new information about Manchester City’s position. City had previously stated that they were open to an independent investigation to prove their innocence, which they reiterated in the documentary. Furthermore, the documentary also includes the clip of the coach’s press conference. In this conference he adamantly stated that he would not resign as a manager.

Before their game against Villa, the documentary provided insight into what happened in the locker room. Guardiola gathered all of his players and the coaching staff in a circle before the game commenced. This meeting was significant because it followed City’s recent loss to Tottenham and a series of games where Guardiola had criticized his players for their behavior on the field.

In light of the Premier League’s accusations against the club, Guardiola expressed his affection for City and encouraged his players to come together in a pre-match huddle on the field. He then delivered a passionate speech to motivate them for the upcoming game.

Overall, while the documentary didn’t shed much new light on City’s stance regarding the allegations, it did provide insight into Guardiola’s approach to leading his team amidst adversity.

He said: “I need to talk to you. Come here,”. First, every single game now, starting today, when we are together before the referee starts the game. You hug each other, the players, in the center circle close to the referee and the opponents. And someone, it doesn’t matter, you start to talk one, two, three and say it in the eyes that we are going to win every single game, or at least we are going to try.

Pep Guardiola continued: “Second, I love this club. Don’t tell me why. Especially for the bad moments, they helped me. I want my warriors. You are going to unconditionally support me. I wanna fight this Premier League my friends. I wanna fight this Premier League more than ever. Attack everyone and defend everyone. Everything we have won, guys, has been on the pitch, always. I love the club. I love you too. Let’s go.”

    Final words

In conclusion, the documentary discusses the inner workings of Man City during the tough time. However it may not have shown the groundbreaking revelations about the club’s stance on the allegations; it provided valuable insight into Guardiola’s leadership style and his efforts to rally his team in the face of adversity.

The scenes in the locker room before the Villa game highlighted the unity and determination within the squad, emphasizing Guardiola’s commitment to the club and his players. As the investigation into the Premier League charges continues, City and Guardiola remain resolute in their defense, maintaining their focus on the pitch as they strive for success in the face of external challenges.
