MANCHESTER-The 23-year-old’s future has been a subject of conjecture in the past several weeks, after an incredible second season with City. In 45 appearances in all competitions last season, he scored 38 goals and offered six assists.

Is Erling Haaland headed to Barcelona?

He has won two Premier League winners’ medals, two Golden Boots, several individual honors, and the Champions League championship in 2023 in his brief time in Manchester. Haaland’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has emphasized that he is 100 percent committed to City’s vision, although he is still connected to leaving the Etihad. Barca are planning a big initiative over the next three years to entice top players like Haaland to Camp Nou, according to Football Transfers. Due to their recent financial difficulties, the Spanish team has had to operate on a tight budget in an effort to stay up with rival Real Madrid. The article goes on to say that a lucrative kit agreement with Nike, which is estimated to bring in £127 million (€150 million) a season, will ease their financial problems. Haaland will be drawn in since Barca is reportedly considering him as the best player to replace Messi in 2021. William Saliba of Arsenal is also being considered as a long-term fix for the team’s defensive shortcomings.

How could Man United impact Haaland’s future?

Christos Mandas, who is connected to the City, may be going to Old Trafford instead. Premier League teams have taken an interest in the Lazio goalkeeper, with Leicester City among them. Third-choice at Lazio, he could leave the Italian team this summer to pursue playing time on a regular basis. Corriere dello Sport claims that officials of City have already spoken with Lazio regarding Mandas. But according to a recent Express story, Lazio is prepared to get inventive in an attempt to capture Mason Greenwood by including Mandas in the deal. This summer, Greenwood will most likely move out of Old Trafford permanently.

The Serie A team has previously had negotiations to acquire Greenwood in an effort to outbid rivals, but their first offer was turned down. According to The Express, they are preparing a fresh strategy that would entail making a bid of £15 million and the goalkeeper Mandas. To increase rivalry between the sticks, City is rumored to have identified the Greece international. Erik ten Hag isn’t said to be prioritizing a new goalkeeper for United for the upcoming campaign; instead, the team would want to get the £40 million for Greenwood.

Will Haaland choose Barcelona Over Man City?

According to manchesterevening, Kieran Maguire and Stefan Borson, it is ‘unlikely’ that Manchester City and the Premier League would come to an agreement before the 115 charges of Premier League regulations are heard. It is believed that City did not provide proper financial data and did not assist with inquiries that spanned nine seasons, from 2009–10 to 2017–18. An independent committee will hear the matter later this year; the club has denied any wrongdoing. There is a possibility that the parties may reach a settlement before the hearing, according to lawyer Borson and football finance specialist Maguire, who both spoke on BBC Radio Manchester’s ‘We’re Not Really Here’ podcast. Borson was formerly a financial consultant at the Etihad Stadium. As per uknews, All parties concerned will have significant obstacles as a result of the quantity and complexity of the allegations, and it is possible that the hearing may be partially or completely postponed. The case will be heard by an independent panel with nearly unrestricted authority, and possible punishments include fines, point deductions, and expulsion from the Premier League.

Can Man United block Haaland’s move to Man City?

“It would certainly save a lot of money on behalf of both sides,” Maguire stated. “It could mean that both parties could claim a victory, but I think in terms of public opinion and the reaction there’s likely to be from both the media, and I suspect from other clubs, it’s not really something that would be palatable to the Premier League nor City.” There are ways in which it could occur within the Premier League rules,” Borson continued.

However, I believe they passed up the opportunity for a settlement. It would be quite impossible for them to find political common ground to resolve this now that it is public knowledge and the hearing is quickly approaching. The CEO of the Premier League, Richard Masters, provided an update on the hearing back in May, stating: “We have just announced the date of the hearing. When that has not been specified. These commissions must meet in private and all information must be kept confidential, according to our code.” Dan Chapman, Leathes Prior head of personnel and sports, countered that discipline shouldn’t be completely disregarded. “There is still a great deal of uncertainty regarding the current state of the Premier League proceedings against Manchester City,” the lawyer stated.
