The match that was played between Man City and Arsenal ended with no goal scored. Etihad Stadium is the venue where the match took place. The outcome of this game proved very beneficial for Liverpool as they got the chance to win the Premier League.

The team that is top of the table nowadays is Liverpool. Furthermore, two points clear of Arsenal and three ahead of City. They won the game from their opponents Brighton at Anfield. The result of this game enhanced their happiness because City and Arsenal both are their closest competitors. And both teams drew against each other.

In the game, Arsenal played defensively to stop City from scoring, and City couldn’t create many chances. Nathan Ake from City had a header saved by Arsenal’s goalkeeper, and he got injured. Gabriel Jesus from City also had some chances but couldn’t score.

This result will be the source of happiness for the manager of Arsenal, Mikel Artete as compared to the Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola. But the ones who truly won are Jurgen Klopp and his team, Liverpool.

Man City had a tough time against Arsenal. The visitors played well, making it hard for Man City to pass the ball effectively. The referee didn’t penalize Arsenal much, which frustrated Man City even more.

The game was messy, and Man City couldn’t get their usual rhythm. They couldn’t create many chances for their striker Erling Haaland. Despite having more possession in the second half, they couldn’t score. This was the first time they couldn’t score at home in a Premier League game since October 2021.

Man City’s coach, Guardiola, was disappointed with the team’s performance, especially with Jack Grealish. Now, they need to focus on their next game against Aston Villa and avoid more mistakes if they want to stay in the race for the Premier League title.

There is a goal that set into Arsenal’s mind before going to Manchester City stadium. They want to prove themselves better and show how much they have improved. According to their past record of matches they did not play well and lost most of the games. This team was only winning in January 2015.

Arteta, Arsenal’s coach, made sure his team was well-prepared and organized to defend strongly and frustrate City. They played it safe, aiming for a draw rather than risking a loss. This cautious approach showed that Arsenal has become tougher and more determined, unlike before when they often struggled against City’s strong attacks.

Arteta’s team played with confidence and were ready to defend strongly when needed, although they were never really at risk of letting in a goal. This shows how well they played.

They managed to keep Manchester City from scoring in both of their games this season, which is quite an achievement. Only three other teams have done this to a team coached by Guardiola in one season.

It’s not clear yet if getting one point from the match was good or if losing two points was bad, but Arteta seemed happy enough with the result when the game ended.

    Final words

In conclusion, the goalless draw between Manchester City and Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium had significant implications for the Premier League title race. Liverpool’s position at the top of the table was strengthened as they maintained their lead, two points ahead of Arsenal and three ahead of City. Despite City’s dominance in possession, Arsenal’s defensive display thwarted their attacking efforts.

Arteta’s tactical approach showcased Arsenal’s improved resilience and determination. While City’s performance fell short of expectations, Guardiola’s disappointment highlights the need for improvement ahead of their upcoming fixture against Aston Villa. Overall, the match highlighted Arsenal’s progress under Arteta’s guidance and added further intrigue to the ongoing Premier League title race.
